The Coloplast 11021 50mm SenSura Standard Wear Convex Light Base Plate (One-Piece) is designed to provide optimal support and protection for stomas that are difficult to manage, such as retracted or flush stomas. The base plate features a double-layer adhesive that creates a secure seal between the adhesive and stoma, protecting the skin from effluent. The unique adhesive system includes two layers: a protection layer that shields the skin from stoma output and a skin care layer that absorbs excess moisture to maintain healthy skin.
This product is ideal for stomas ranging from 15mm to 33mm and has a "cut-to-fit" opening that allows for a customized fit. The light convex design of the base plate applies gentle, directed pressure on the peristomal skin to help the stoma protrude, reducing the risk of leakage, especially in cases of retracted stomas.
SenSura Click is part of the two-piece appliance system with a mechanical coupling, ensuring that the pouch is securely attached to the barrier with an audible "click" for reassurance. The pouch can be rotated before locking it into place, allowing for easy adjustments based on your body's position (standing, lying down, etc.) without needing to remove the pouch. The pouch can also be changed more frequently than the adhesive barrier, offering flexibility and comfort.
