Smith & Nephew Bactigras® Dressing is a sterile, medicated paraffin gauze wound dressing made from open-weave cotton leno gauze impregnated with 0.5% w/w Chlorhexidine Acetate BP in white soft paraffin. It provides antimicrobial protection while maintaining a moist wound environment that supports natural healing and minimizes pain during dressing changes.
The low-adherent design helps reduce trauma to newly formed tissue, making it suitable for use on burns, donor and recipient graft sites, leg ulcers, abrasions, lacerations, and other superficial wounds. It is intended to be used as a primary wound contact layer with a secondary absorbent dressing when required. Each dressing is individually sterile packed for single use.
